Description
A 3/8" chrome steel close nipple is a short threaded pipe fitting used to connect two female threaded fittings with minimal spacing between them. A close nipple has threads running nearly the full length of the fitting, leaving little or no unthreaded surface exposed once installed.
These fittings are commonly manufactured from chrome-plated steel for corrosion resistance and polished appearance, making them ideal for restaurant hood fire suppression systems, exposed piping installations, compressed air systems, and specialty plumbing applications.
